The department of administration and records collections creates and manages the central records of the NTM collections, oversees the inventory process of the collections, coordinates adjustments to the collection database, and administers the loan agenda related to items from the NTM collections.
Among its other tasks is ensuring the activities arising from Act No. 71/1994 Coll., on the Sale and Export of Items of Cultural Value, as amended. The department coordinates and administratively oversees the activities of the collection departments in the areas of inventory, cataloging, and documentation of the collection funds, conducted in accordance with Act No. 122/2000 Coll., on the Protection of Museum Collections and on the Amendment of Certain Other Acts, as amended. An integral part of the department's activities is also ensuring ongoing communication with the CES register of the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic and updating information about the NTM collections recorded in this register.
